Private Events at La Tavola Italiana
Mt. Washington is very central to the greater Pittsburgh area, this makes us the perfect location to host your next event. We specialize in large parties, and we are a very popular place to host rehearsal dinners, birthday parties, retirement parties, and much, more! BYOB saves you the big liquor bill, and our dining options and food selections are catered to each party! There is something for every palate at La Tavola. Our restaurant has 3 dining rooms to accommodate your party. If you wish to have a private room, there will be a rental fee for the space. Please call for pricing. If you do not require a private room, there is no rental fee for the space, but be aware you will be sharing the room with other guests. If space permits we may put a small divider to separate your party from other diners.
-Full Restaurant holds up to 150 people (150 person minimum to rent)
-Main Dining Room holds up to 100 people (100 person minimum to rent)
-Terrazza holds up to 55 people (40 person minimum to rent)
-Carmela’s Kitchen holds up to 28 people (24 person minimum to rent)
-Carmela’s Kitchen and Courtyard (warm weather months) is an indoor/outdoor event space. There are 24 seats inside. There can be up to 40 seats outside on the covered patio. The spaces are connected with beautiful wood and glass French doors which will remain open during your event to create one unique space. There is a private entrance to this space and private restrooms.
Bring Your Own Bottle (BYOB) Cork-Fee’s apply. Per Bottle (see menu for pricing, or $5 per person unlimited) Cork Fee applies to all bottles opened. If you bring in extra that isn’t opened, we do not charge for those bottles.
-Appetizers Our appetizers feed 4 people per order. (example: if you have a party of 40 people, and you want to serve fried zucchini and calamari fritti, you will need 10 orders of each).
Entrée Options- all dinners come with La Tavola house salad
We offer 2 entrée options at La Tavola, “Choice of 3” or “Family Style”.
We do not have a “Party Package” all of our events are unique and we feel it best to let you choose the menu you would like to serve to your guests. We use our current menu prices for all food. There is no upcharge for parties, nor, any discount. You simply pay for what you eat. Our event planner will guide you with how many orders you will need for how many guest you have.
-Choice of 3 Menu Prices, cost of 1 dinner per person
Choose 3 Menu Items, ask all of your guests which they would like. Give the restaurant the number of each ahead of time. We ask that you make an escort card for each guest with their name and choice marked on the card, so the servers can just look and serve. This must be finalized no less than 1 week before the event.
-Family Style Menu Menu prices, 1 dinner per person, based on selections made.
Family Style is our most popular option for parties. It is a fun dining experience(very Italian) , and the guests get to try more than one entrée selection. You choose a 2-3 entrees from the menu and they are plated onto family style platters. Your guests will have a dinner plate at the seat and will serve themselves from the family style bowls. If you have no more than 3 selections, the cost to you is one dinner per person. Please speak with the event planner to discuss options that are best recommended for family style dining.
-Dessert La Tavola makes wonderful desserts in house! Our Cannoli are perfect for the end of your meal, as are the rest of our delicious specialties. However, we understand, you might have a special cake or dessert you might like to serve to your guests. If so, you are welcome to bring in any outside dessert. We charge a plating fee for this. It runs between $1-$3 per person, depending on the dessert. Our staff will present your dessert, cut and serve it to all of your guests.
Rental Fee’s and Deposits If you are renting a room, the rental fee acts as your deposit, then you will be presented a bill at the end of your event for food and beverage.
If you are not renting a room, a deposit will be paid when booking the event and the amount of your deposit will be deducted from your final bill the night of the event before you are presented with the check.
Gratuity There is a 20% pre-tax gratuity charge added to the bill for all parties of 8 or more.
